Risk & Security Excellence
The expert in the room when risk gets real
The role
As Risk SME, you'll be Pulsar's go-to authority on enterprise risk management, compliance frameworks, and operational resilience. You'll work across our risk and security engagements — advising clients, shaping solutions, and mentoring delivery teams.
What you'll do
- Lead risk and compliance advisory across client engagements, translating regulatory requirements into ServiceNow solutions
- Provide subject matter guidance on IRM, TPRM, BCM, Operational Resilience, and Audit Management implementations
- Shape solution designs and challenge assumptions to ensure delivered outcomes meet governance expectations
- Support pre-sales activities including scoping workshops, proposal development, and client presentations
- Mentor and upskill delivery consultants on risk management concepts and frameworks
- Develop Pulsar's risk practice IP — methodologies, accelerators, and reference architectures
- Stay current on regulatory developments (DORA, FCA, PRA, EU AI Act) and translate them into platform opportunities
- Contribute to thought leadership through blogs, whitepapers, and speaking engagements
What we're looking for
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, GRC, or operational resilience
- Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks — DORA, PRA/FCA Operational Resilience, ISO 27001/31000, NIST
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow GRC/IRM modules or equivalent risk platforms
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into practical technology solutions
- Strong consulting skills — able to challenge client thinking and build trusted advisor relationships
- Experience leading or contributing to pre-sales processes including scoping and proposals
Nice to have
- Professional certifications in risk (CRISC, IRM Level 4, CISA) or related fields
- Previous experience at a Big 4 or specialist risk consultancy
- ServiceNow CIS-Risk or CIS-GRC certification
- Experience with the AI Control Tower or AI governance frameworks
- Understanding of the financial services regulatory landscape (Lloyd's, PRA, FCA)
